Two out of three of them have passports,” Zogby says. “They are well-traveled; technologically they have networks that include people all over the world. They have a desire to be nimble, to go anywhere and to be anywhere. They also have a desire to change their world and feel like they’re in a position to do that.

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

Literate people think differently to illiterate ones and the internet will no doubt have a similar effect. And if it changes the way we think, then it changes our identity and therefore it changes the way we live and the way we love.

Moving on
After an incredible year and a half I’m leaving Kauffman in June.
My time at the Foundation provided me a wide-angle view on startup/entrepreneurship from research and policy, to theory and capital to practice. ‘I’ve learned a lot’ is the understatement of the year. We, collectively, have accomplished much in recent years, but there’s still a long way to go. I hope that I’ve added some value and helped communities and entrepreneurs. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work with amazing colleagues and partners.
That said, I’m an entrepreneur at heart. I miss building things day-to-day.
I will be refocusing full-time on Dynamit - the company I’ve helped build since college. We’re growing rapidly and ready for another throttle up. My time will be spent on the Dynamit brand and team along with business development. I’m insanely excited to get back in the fray with my team.
I’ll remain on the board at Startup Weekend and plan to stay super-connected to my network, but my focus and attention will be on further growth of an already great company.
If you’d like to discuss anything Dynamit related - I’d love to chat. And of course, let me know if I can be helpful in any way.

the colossal misunderstanding of our time is the assumption that insight will work with people who are unmotivated to change. communication does not depend on syntax, or eloquence, or rhetoric, or articulation but on the emotional context in which the message is being heard. people can only hear you when they are moving toward you, and they are not likely to when your words are pursuing them. even the choice words lose their power when they are used to overpower. attitudes are the real figures of speech.
